My opinion is that "personal growth" is not really about changing us, rather its about finding the way back to our inner selves, also referred to as Alignment of Spirit. While living in Hawaii, it became very obvious to me how important it is to be proud in a humble way (not to be confused with pride). It was very interesting to experience how naturally this is for the Hawaiian people. By being proud of who I am and using my natural talents, experiences, etc, I get much stronger as a person.
