Launched by Walt Disney in 1929 as a "musical novelty" series to complement his recent success with Mickey Mouse, the "Silly Symphonies" soon became much more.

"I got the Disney Classics special DVD collections, (both volumes), of the Silly Symphonies years ago when they first came out and have enjoyed them so much. While some have been seen many times over the years, some had not been re-released at all until the DVDs were made according to the book.
