It was in the 1950s that homemakers started to innovate and use new kitchen appliances, making cooking easier for every homemaker. Jello was in with the appearance of towering Jell-O molds or serving warm tuna casseroles at every potluck party. Many dishes also have Chex-Mix, Spam, and pineapple, a Hawaiian influence that still perdures today.
