Recueil des Lettres de Madame la Marquise de Sévigné, à Madame la Comtesse de Grignan, sa fille 1-8
Övrigt tryckt och skrivet.
Gott skick. [Complete with 8 parts in 4 volumes.] Paris, Par la Compagnie des Libraires 1775 (nouvelle Edition augmentée). (xxiv) 370 + 368 + 342 + 412 + 410 + 428 + 423 + 378 (4) pages in 4 volumes of simple style. The books seems re-bound, perhaps by a previous owner, with a glued faux leather stripe spine and thin, flexible board covers with a green paper layer on the outside. The title labels on the spines are hand-written. Perhaps not the most handsome books, but a solid craftsmanship nevertheless. --- The covers are smudged and a couple of them have crease marks (being thin and thus, alittle more fragile). Contents are bright and clean in all volumes. An owner's signature has been crossed out on flyleaf of first volume. Beneath it is the signature of another owner (My Åberg). The initials "M. Å." are found on the flyleaves of the other volumes. --- Note that there is a pagination error in the preface in the first volume; page "xx" is followed by page "xxiii" which indicates that a leaf has been lost, but that is NOT the case. The text has been compared to an online version. (The sentence which begins on page xx and continues on page xxiii is the following: "Enfin, la joie eft l'état veritable de votre ame, et le chagrin vous eft plus contraire qu'à qui que ce foit.")
