Inbunden bok. Hutchinson, London. 1 uppl. 1963. 132 sidor.
Mycket gott skick.
Text in English. Klotband. Format: 21,5x14,5 cm. Adapted from the Swedish by Hugh Macdiarmid and Elspeth Harley Schubert. Indroduction by Dr. Tord Hall. "The great space-ship Aniara, housing eight thousand people, escapes from a earth polluted by atomic explosions, but is diverted from its course to Mars and heads irretrievably into the void. This is the first English edition of Aniara. Martinson was born in 1904. He rose to be one of Sweden's most prominent literary figures and was elected one of the Immortals of the Swedish Academy. He was awarded a joint Nobel Prize in Literature in 1974 together with fellow Swede Eyvind Johnson "for writings that catch the dewdrop and reflect the cosmos". The choice was controversial, as both Martinson and Johnson were members of the academy". (vi2)
