Philosophie des Unbewussten [I-II] I: Phänomenologie des Unbewussten II: Metaphysik des Unbewussten

Inbunden bok.

Gott skick. [Format: 16 x 23 cm.] Carl Duncker's Verlag, Berlin 1882 (9. auflage). (XXXXIV) 465 (1) + (IV) 496 pages in contemporary (or a little later) and rather handsome, private leather-spine hardcovers (N. A. Ornells Bokbinderi, Lund - sticker on the inside of front board) with strengthened corners. Table of contents in the beginning of both volumes. In volume I, pages 363-433 consists of an attachment (anhang) titled "Zur Physiologie der Nervencentra" and 434-465 contain supplements (nachträge). Volume II also ends with a supplements (nachträge) section on pages 467-496. --- The hardcovers are shelf-worn and spines are alittle scuffed. The contents are printed on acid-free paper, except a few small sections; the following pages are (by the looks of it) not printed on acid-free paper and thus, age toned: volume I: I-IV & XXI-XXXXIV, volume II: 329-344 & 377-424, which totals roughly 90 pages (less than 10%). Pages 211-222 of volume I are repaired with Washi (Japanese paper), a 1 cm. stripe roughly, along the top edges. This has resulted in pages being wavy in this section (the top margin, see picture). The rest of the contents very lightly wavy. The first half of the same volume has minimal, if any, traces of handling. In the later half there are light creasing to the foot side page corners or corner tips and other clear marks, but they are most likely not from handling (see picture). Alot of the head side page corners/corner tips of volume II have light crease marks. Foxing occurs in both volumes, but it's light and in a very small amount. Binding seems very solid in both volumes. All in all the books are in pretty good shape, despite mentioned flaws. They are not severe and most of them are in the margins, outside the text areas.
