This volume presents a complete annotated collection of stereoscopic photographs, created by TR Williams in the 1850s and entitled Scenes in Our Village. The pictures were scattered for many years and the identity of the village lost, but May and Vidal have reassembled the photographs, giving an extraordinary glimpse of 19th-century village life, and identified the place as Hinton Waldrist in Oxfordshire.
