The pace of the water in the stream isn't too quick or slow and I find this CD is equally suitable for (depending on volumne & taste) sleeping, meditating, reading, or just creating a soothing atmosphere to do whatever around your home. Mellow yes, but this sounds experience does have enough energy to it to keep you from going to sleep unless thats your intention. This CD's always like a personal pick me up and is like being transported into a perpetual spring day for eternity - it's simply lovely."
